Let’s talk about one of my little obsessions, diamond art (also known as sticking tiny, shiny things onto a canvas to create magic).
I only discovered it a few years ago when my friend Lisa started doing it.
At first, I was like, “What is this all about?” but being someone who’s done counted cross-stitch (yep, I’m that kind of person), I gave it a go and got hooked.
It’s not just a hobby. It’s my happy place. After a busy day juggling inboxes, calendars, and client chaos (in the best way), sitting down with a cup of coffee and my diamond art is bliss.
It’s my way of unwinding and switching off. There’s something so calming about the repetitive motion, the sparkly, the slow progress that turns into something beautiful.
It’s mindfulness without the faff.
I’ve created portraits of pets and other pictures for my friends and family, and seeing their faces light up when they get them is priceless.
Honestly, I can’t imagine life without this little sparkly slice of calm.
