This month, I’ve been leaning into simplicity.
Not fancy systems or complicated workflows.
Just small routines that stop everything from feeling overwhelming.
Here’s what’s helping me keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
- A non-negotiable weekly reset session.
Every week, I carve out a little time to step back from client work and get everything back in order. Inbox cleared, priorities reset, loose ends tied up. It stops small things from building into overwhelm.
- A very simple inbox rule: do it, delegate it, or delete it.
If an email doesn’t fall into one of those categories, it doesn’t stay sitting there taking up mental space. It has reduced a lot of decision fatigue.
- Time blocking instead of endless to-do lists.
I don’t write tasks down; I assign them a time. Even rough blocks make my day feel more manageable, rather than endless scroll of things to do.
- A running brain dump space.
Everything gets written down. Ideas, reminders, tasks, random thoughts, nothing stays in my head. It helps reduce the mental noise.
- Focused work sprints instead of multitasking all day.
I’ve stopped trying to do everything at once. Shorter, focused blocks of work are more productive than long, chaotic days.
The simpler things are behind the scenes, the calmer your business feels overall.
If this month’s newsletter hit home, it might be a sign you need support in your business.
If you need help getting your inbox under control, scheduling your newsletter, or finally taking admin off your plate, I’m here when you’re ready.
